Most effects copy something — a pedal circuit, a tube stage, a room. Gorebang starts somewhere else: build a strange system with its own internal logic, let it run, and keep the effect that falls out.
The systems are stateful and causal. A reverb where the room's geometry is the instrument and the pitch shift falls out of moving air. A fuzz voiced past anything a real circuit would survive. An octave that plays its own tracking errors.
Every Gorebang plugin has an Experimental section — one place the system is let off the leash. Unpredictable on purpose, never broken.
It all runs on one portable DSP core, which means a plugin can become a pedal. Some will.

I've been building audio software and playing heavy music for years. Gorebang is where the strange ideas go — the effects I wanted and couldn't buy. The plan is to make it the main thing over the next few years.
Everything is built on one portable core, so the ideas that earn it can leave the computer and become hardware. I test it all against real records, with people who make them for a living.
